Are you a procurement professional who enjoys working at the intersection of technology, supplier management and project execution?
For a fast-growing high-tech electronics company in the Eindhoven region, we are looking for a Project Buyer who will play an important role in bringing innovative products from concept to production.
Working closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance and Supply Chain, you will ensure that the right suppliers, components and commercial agreements are in place to support successful New Product Introductions.
As the link between Engineering and Procurement, you translate technical requirements into effective sourcing strategies. You balance quality, cost, availability, lead times and supply chain risks to enable the successful industrialization of new products.
This position gives you the opportunity to make a direct impact on complex high-tech projects while continuing to develop your procurement expertise.

The position is primarily based at the company’s headquarters in Eindhoven. Occasional visits to suppliers, project partners or industry events may be required.
Functie
As Project Buyer, you will:
• Lead supplier and component selection for New Product Introduction projects in line with procurement category strategies.
• Source and order prototypes, tooling, samples and initial production materials.
• Support supplier qualification, product validation and industrialization activities.
• Translate technical requirements into clear sourcing plans and supplier agreements.
• Identify and mitigate procurement risks related to supply continuity, quality, capacity, lead times, compliance and single-source dependencies.
• Identify opportunities to optimize inventory and working capital by improving minimum order quantities, lead times and supplier collaboration.
• Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance and Supply Chain to ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Analyze procurement, component and supplier data to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Represent Procurement within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Build strong and professional relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
As you develop within the position, you will also:
• Lead cost optimization initiatives through supplier negotiations, should-cost analysis and value engineering.
• Promote early supplier involvement during product development.
• Improve manufacturability, cost efficiency, lead times and supply chain robustness.
• Contribute to the further development of procurement processes and sourcing methods.
• Support the development of strategic and long-term supplier relationships.
Functie-eisen
You are a proactive procurement professional who feels comfortable working in a technical, multidisciplinary and project-driven environment.
You bring:
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or an equivalent level of working and thinking.
• A degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, Industrial Engineering or another relevant technical discipline.
• Approximately 2 to 4 years of procurement experience within a technical manufacturing or high-tech environment.
• Experience with project procurement, technical purchasing, strategic sourcing or New Product Introduction is considered an advantage.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• An analytical mindset and the ability to translate data into practical actions.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• SAP experience is a strong advantage.
• A proactive, structured and solution-oriented approach.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across different disciplines.
• Professional fluency in English.
